Itangua-Cuevo Irrigation System – Construction Supervision and Accompanying Measures

Construction of a 20 m high concrete dam and appurtenant irrigation infrastructure, shall help to improve living conditions for the mostly indigenous Guaraní population, currently suffering of the uncertain distribution of rain water in Bolivias Chaco region. This tendency is expected to be more severe with ongoing climate changes. During project construction (18 months) and operation start (12 month) the new beneficiaries will be accompanied and trained.
