The main objective of the green infrastructure project is recuperating environmentally the area of the Chiveve River and creating a vast landscaped green area provided with infrastructures for the public fruition. An important aspect of the objective of the project is the attainment of a sustainable solution from an environmental and economic viewpoint. The project foresees three main areas of intervention, comprising the development of physical infrastructure (i.e. roads, buildings, bridges, etc.), recreational infrastructure (i.e. playgrounds, resting areas, benches, amongst others) and a sustainable management concept.
