The project’s goal is to reduce the vulnerability of Beira’s population in regard to climate change effects, particularly in informal settlements by the improvement of the local early warning system, the integration of climate change adaptation in regional and urban planning, ensuring a raised awareness and capacity building for the drainage system’s maintenance and safeguarding knowledge transfer and experience exchange with other coastal towns.
