The project objective is to improve living conditions of small holder farmers suffering from water related diseases due to inadequate and unsafe water supply. The project concentrates on the rehabilitation and extension of the water supply schemes some 20 to 30 years of age and is implemented in a non-conventional approach by carrying out simple manual works in voluntary self-help of the beneficiaries (without payment) combined with force account labor for works requiring higher skills.
