CES offers solutions to complex multidisciplinary engineering tasks for all civil engineering and related sectors. CES renders services ranging from preliminary investigations to construction supervision and cost controlling, training of the clients‘ staff, advisory services in the operation and maintenance of installations, as well as the organization and strengthening of public authorities and institutions. CES works mainly in the field of development cooperation and implements infrastructure projects for national high-end clients (ministries and line authorities) funded by international donors.

CES is looking for a National Deputy Resident Engineer (f/m/d)

PROJECT AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The name of the project is “Water Supply and Sanitation in Moldova Center” founded by the German Development Bank KfW. The project components are:

• Construction of a treated water transmission main from the existing water treatment plant of Apa-Canal Chisinau to the rayon capitals Straseni and Calarari and the associated bulk distribution infrastructure (clear water reservoirs and connection facilities to the existing urban water supply networks);
• Construction of the bulk distribution infrastructure for the selected communities of the rayons Straseni and Calarari without access to adequate water resources and located along the treated water transmission pipeline for which connection to the treated water main is feasible;
• Implementation of immediate improvement measures in the distribution networks of Straseni and Calarari towns.
• Further measures aim to increase the connection rate to the water supply in both towns and to rehabilitate dilapidated pipelines within the cities while connecting additional villages

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• At least 7 years of experience in designing and construction supervision of water supply / wastewater systems
• Experience in administration of FIDIC based contracts
• Knowledge of procurement rules
• Proven experience and knowledge of the approval requirements in Moldova and in submitting designs to national authorities to obtain the necessary approvals
• Excellent command in English
